Progress continues on DCN Fargo data center expansion

DCN’s Fargo data center expansion project is on track for completion by the end of the year, and we’re really starting to see some changes!

We officially broke ground on our 14,000 square-foot expansion project located at 3901 Great Plains Drive South, Fargo, ND in October 2017.

The expanded co-location data center is being constructed with the same “Fort Knox”-like specifications as our current Bismarck and Fargo data centers:

  • Carrier-grade hardened facilities able to withstand F4 tornadoes with winds up to 200 mph
  • N+1 redundant power and cooling systems
  • State-of-the-art security

The data center expansion will provide customers with additional capacity to house their business critical applications, ensuring 99.999% network up-time to North Dakota’s most critical institutions, including health care, public safety, state government and financial institutions.
