On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, DCN provided a tour for over 70 Bismarck Public School students. These 8th grade girls participate in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) program.  Part of DCN’s program was to expose the students to careers related to a technology based company.

DCN’s four sessions consisted of:

  • “Ladies of DCN” – Jennifer Guthmiller, account executive; Isabel DeWitt, web application developer; Cora Schlinger, network design specialist; and Barb Pfeifer, Ethernet/IP tech provided information about their careers.
  •  Internet Discussion  – how Internet devices and Internet of things affect us daily.
  • Fiber optics – tools used to repair, troubleshooting, etc.
