Aslakson and Guthmiller promoted to sales department management positions.
BISMARCK, N.D., FEB. 26, 2019 – DCN (Dakota Carrier Network) has promoted Mark Aslakson to wholesale sales manager and Jennifer Guthmiller to commercial sales manager.
In his new role as wholesale sales manager, Aslakson will provide connectivity solutions for national businesses and wireless carriers expanding their networks in North Dakota. He will also be responsible for creating the department’s operational and strategic direction and overseeing its employees.
Aslakson most recently served as DCN’s Wholesale Carrier Relations, a role he held for nearly six years. He joined DCN in May 2013, bringing with him over 12 years of technology industry experience, including positions as a network analyst, network administrator, and systems engineer.
Aslakson has a bachelor’s degree in business from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and a master’s degree in management – information system security from Colorado Technical University. He also holds a certification in network and systems administration advanced training from Denver Technical College.
Guthmiller has been promoted to DCN’s commercial sales manager. In her new role, she will oversee the department’s employees and implement sales initiatives and workflows to support DCN’s overall strategic goals.
In her previous role as a DCN Account Executive, she served as the main point of contact for commercial businesses and provided solutions – networking, ethernet, dedicated internet, data center, hosting services, cloud services, cybersecurity, and/or disaster recovery and backup – to help them achieve their technology goals. She served in this role for nearly five years.
Guthmiller joined DCN in April 2013 as a Network Operations Center (NOC) Support Specialist, bringing with her nearly 20 years of technology experience, including five years as a network and VOIP technician for DCN Owner company BEK Communications in Steele, ND.
She has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems with a minor in computer science from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND.
Guthmiller has volunteered with the Awana Program in Wilton, ND.
