Five DCN employees recently earned MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (CECP) certification following a week of intensive training and successful exam completion.
CECP is a vendor neutral, technical certification recognizing carrier Ethernet expertise in professionals from a cross section of job functions. The certification is valid for three years and is recognized industrywide as the highest standard for carrier Ethernet professionals. The following DCN team members were certified:
- Trudy Boelter, sales support representative, Fargo
- Nathan Briggs, Ethernet/IP technician I, Bismarck
- Logan Mitchell, Ethernet/IP technician I, Bismarck
- Travis Opdahl, Network Operations Center manager, Bismarck
- Jim Swenson, network design specialist, Fargo
“Employee education and training are vital, especially in the ever-changing technology field,” says DCN CEO Seth Arndorfer. “This certification is crucial when working with carrier Ethernet and not just within our operations center – members of our outside plant and sales teams also hold certification so we can deliver quality service across the company. We’re proud to have this many subject matter experts on our team who are committed to providing services that are tailored to customers’ individual needs.”
