Arndorfer to serve three-year term on INDATEL Services board, a nationwide fiber optic network.
BISMARCK, N.D., JUNE 19, 2018 – Further demonstrating North Dakota’s leadership in statewide broadband connectivity, DCN (Dakota Carrier Network) CEO Seth Arndorfer was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the INDATEL Services Board of Managers. INDATEL is a nationwide fiber optic network, comprised of 28 statewide networks like DCN, dedicated to providing best-in-class connectivity to people in rural and metro areas. Arndorfer’s term began June 8.

As an INDATEL board member, Arndorfer will help establish the network’s strategic direction by assessing the connectivity needs of communities it serves and creating opportunities to bring fiber to underserved and unserved populations. In collaboration with its 700 rural broadband service provider members, INDATEL brings service to over 5,000 communities nationwide.
Arndorfer was elected by fellow statewide network CEOs to fill one of three open board positions on the seven-member board. SDN Communications CEO Mark Shlanta (South Dakota), and IFN CEO Jim Turner (Indiana), filled the other openings. The election took place at INDATEL’s 2018 symposium in Indianapolis.

Arndorfer’s telecommunications career spans more than two decades, during which time he’s gained experience in nearly every aspect of the business process, including business development, marketing, sales, and management. His journey began in 1997 at Consolidated Telcom in Dickinson, ND, followed by his move to DCN in 2002.
DCN’s Board of Governors named Arndorfer as CEO in August 2014. The board is comprised of CEOs from DCN’s 15 owner companies, all independent North Dakota broadband service providers.
Under his leadership, DCN extended its public-private partnership with North Dakota state government, bringing one-gigabit service to all agencies, K-12 schools, and higher education institutions; constructed industry-leading, state-of-the-art tier III data centers in Fargo and Bismarck, ND, providing secure environments for colocation and cloud computing services; and collaborated with its 15 owner companies to bring fiber optic connectivity to more than 280 North Dakota communities in the past five years.
He also serves on the NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association’s Futures Task Force and is a 911 association member.
Arndorfer has an MBA from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND.
